STABILOY® Service Entrance Cable Type SE, Style U

 Alcan Cable’s Type SE, Style U is designed for above-ground service entrance use, as well as interior wiring. This cable uses XHHW-2 conductors that are phase identified, including one insulated black conductor and one insulated conductor with a single longitudinal red stripe.



Features

  • Helically wound bare conductor strands around two paralleled insulated conductors, with a glass-reinforced tape applied over the conductors
  • Sunlight resistant with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C in dry and wet locations
  • Sequential footage marking ensures measurement accuracy
  • Lead-free polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket extruded over the subassembly
  • Conductor insulation is free of harmful heavy metals in compliance with RoHS, Directive 2002/95/EC
  • Meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., Standard #854
  • Approved for use as Type SE in accordance with the recommendations of the National Electrical Code®
  • Recognized by ASTM in Standards B 800, B 801, B 836 and B 901.
