STABILOY® Brand WIDESTRIPE HS® (High Speed) Type XHHW-2

 

General Cable’s STABILOY® Brand WIDESTRIPE HS® XHHW-2 cable is a single, phase identified, aluminum alloy cable that features a specially designed cross-linked polyethylene insulation that allows for fast and easy cable pulls by eliminating the application and clean up of pulling lubricants.

As part of the new, high speed family of STABILOY® Brand aluminum alloy conductors, WIDESTRIPE HS® XHHW-2 cable reduces labor, waste and material costs in wire and pipe installations. STABILOY® Brand WIDESTRIPE HS® XHHW-2 conductors are intended for general purpose wiring in residential, commercial and industrial construction.





Features

  • Lightweight, flexible—with twice the ampacity per pound as copper

  • Phase identification on the XHHW-2 conductor consists of three wide color stripes embedded within the surface of the insulation.

  • Provides up to a 50% reduction in pulling force compared to standard XHHW-2 conductor installed with pulling lubricants.

  • Sunlight resistant with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C in dry and wet locations

  • Conductor insulation is free of harmful heavy metals in compliance with RoHS, Directive 2002/95/EC

  • Meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., Standard #44 for Type XHHW-2

  • Approved for use in raceways as service, feeder or branch circuits in accordance with the recommendations of the National Electrical Code®

  • Recognized by ASTM B 800, B 801, B 836 and B 901
