Alcan Cable’s Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) provides exceptional performance and reliability. With a wide range of stranding ratios and steel core strengths, Alcan Cable’s ACSR can be tailored to offer the right balance of strength and ampacity for your overhead power transmission and distribution projects.

 

Features

  • Concentrically stranded conductor consisting of one or more layers of aluminum alloy 1350-H19 wires around a stranded steel core
  • Meets or exceeds industry requirements per ASTM specifications B230, B232, B498, B500, B502, B606, B802, B803, B957, and B958
  • Steel core corrosion protection from galvanized, aluminized (AZ), or zinc-5% aluminum mischmetal alloy (Zn-5Al-MM) coatings with aluminum cladding (AW) also available
  • Steel core is available in Standard, High, Extra High, and Ultra High strengths
  • Available with an optional low reflectivity ‘non-specular’ finish
