The Lapointe Works plant produces continuously cast electrical and mechanical aluminum alloy redraw rod. The rod is available in a wide variety of alloys and standard diameters for the purpose of manufacturing finished products such as building wire and utility cables. Other applications for our rod’s usage include: screen wire, co-axial cable, shielding wire, cold heading applications, flexible conduit, and armor for electrical cable.

The Concord Distribution Centre supplies distributor and utility customers with a wide range of products. The team at the Concord Distribution Centre, located north of the City of Toronto, has been proud to serve Alcan Cable's Canadian customers from coast to coast since 1976.
Chatsworth, California
The MODEX modular wiring business was acquired by Alcan Cable in 2005 and is located in Chatsworth, California. The MODEX® product line consists of complete, custom wiring assemblies that provide total installed cost savings. Its prewired, pigtailed, and hardwired factory assembled branch wiring systems is for use in device intensive buildings with common footprints such as hotels and condominiums. MODEX® wiring assemblies are UL Listed, factory tested, and comply with both U.S. and Canadian Electrical Code requirements.
Tianjin, China
The Tianjin plant is Alcan Cable’s newest manufacturing facility and is dedicated to manufacturing STABILOY® aluminum alloy building wire for China’s commercial building market. STABILOY® is a proven and reliable alternative to copper feeder conductors and delivers significant cost savings. Using this state of the art technology, the plant provides a unique alloy formulated especially for electrical feeder conductor applications in residential and commercial buildings.
